Ce n'était qu'un rêve (also translated as "Nothing But a Dream or "It Was Only A Dream") is Celine Dion's debut single released from her debut album "La voix du bon Dieu."

The single was released on June 19, 1981. The song was written & composed by Celine along with her mother Therese Dion & her brother Jacques Dion. It was produced by Eddy Marnay & Rudy.

Chart PerformanceEdit

On September 5, 1981, the song entered the Quebec Singles Chart. It peaked at number fourteen & spent five weeks on the chart.

Live PerformancesEdit

On June 19, 1981, Celine made her first broadcast appearance, performing "Ce n'était qu'un rêve" in a very popular talk-show in Quebec hosted by Michel Jasmin.

An early music video from a television special was made when the single came out in 1981.
